I have to admit that Werewolves’s entrance into this Mexican stand-off was pretty great, despite it being utterly predictable. However, if the Werewolves wanted Clary, why did they pick the most horrible moment to come after her? Seriously, Jace and Clary were alone for a very long time before they got to the hotel.
They could have easily attacked them just outside the Church or when they just got off the subway, but they decided to attack now? Again, when it’s quite possible for that this encounter could very easily result in a Vampire vs. Werewolf war. A war, by the way, that could have a whole lot of casualties on both sides—not to mention the innocent mundanes that might die as a result. Does anyone in these twice damned books have any basic tactical skills or just any plain old common sense?
They basically attacked the Vampires on their home ground, and they are probably outnumbered. Yeah, they had the advantage of a surprise, but that’s all they had. The cons of this stunt greatly out weights the pros, and in the end, it was all just really unnecessary.
