“She drank about half of Lake Lyn.” The sound of Luke’s voice faded, and for a moment
Clary’s vision cleared: She was lying on the cold tiled more of a kitchen, and somewhere above her head Luke was rummaging in a cabinet. The kitchen had peeling yellow walls and an old-fashioned black cast-iron stove against one wall; Amatis leaped behind the stove grating, making her eyes hurt. “Anise, belladonna, hellebore …” Luke turned away from the cabinet with an armful of glass canisters. “Can you boil these together, Amatis? I’m going to move her closer to the stove. She’s shivering.”

Chapter Four: Daylighter
Wow, I wouldn’t Luke or Amatis taking care me while I was sick at all. They are horrible at it! My mom is just a Certified Nurse’s Assitant, and has been for like thirty years. However, even from my mom’s second hand knowledge I know it’s just unsaniatry to have someone that sick on the unsanitary floor. God only knows what kind of germs that floor might have to do people simply walking back and forth on it. Not to mention all the things people drop on floors.
Seriously, if Clare was this clueless about medical issues she should have at least done some fucking research or hell talk to someone who is a medical professional! I’m not in the medical industry (to be honest I never ever want to be) but even I know this is wrong.
Also, Luke and Amatis are complete dumbasses! Amatis is a Shadowhunter, of course, she would have a stele. And didn’t Luke say in the last chapter that a simple rune would have cleared this up? Once again after one chapter, Clare has forgotten her own fucking canon and is apparently too lazy to go back and check. *facepalm*
