“He lives outside the city, actually,” said Sebastian, starting toward the bridge. Clary fell
into step beside him.
“Is it a long walk?”
“Too long to walk. We’re going to get a ride.”
“A ride? From who?” She came to a dead stop. “Sebastian, we have to be careful. We
can’t trust just anyone with the information about what we’re doing—what I’m doing. It’s a secret.”
City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
Chapter 7: Where Angels Fear to Tread
Wow, Clary cannot be self-aware for nothing, can she? Seriously, It never occurs to Clary to question her own hypocrisy and it’s just downright mind-boggling! I just pointed out loudly and with great vigor how stupid Clary was for telling Sebastian (a person she knew for less than an hour) about Ragnor Fell. Then she has the utter fucking audacity to open her mouth and warn Sebastian to not tell anyone.
Honestly, I don’t think Clare is thinking about what she is writing at all. Also, what the fuck editors? How did you let this slip through, for christ sakes! I will never understand how Clare is getting writing awards because I have seen ninth graders write better than this.
