Simon spoke without thinking. “Are he and Isabelle … Is there something going on
That startled a laugh out of Alec. “Isabelle and Sebastian? Hardly. Sebastian’s a nice guy Isabelle only likes dating thoroughly inappropriate boys our parents will hate. Mundanes, Downworlders, petty crooks …”
— City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
Chapter 4: Daylighter
Aw, look how Clare is trying to shove some Sizzy foreshadowing down our throats again. Seriously, you got to be dumber than a bag of rocks not to know that she is going to shove these two people together just because just like the suethor she is .oN one in her self-insert wank fantasy can stay single. Again, there is very little difference between Clare and Stephanie Meyers. In Twilight, all the Cullens and Werewolves had to be paired up (unless you were Leah and then you were punished but not having a man) because god forbid a person is not in a relationship. *rolls eyes*
Now, let’s move to Alec. Why was I supposed to sympathize with him again? Other than him being gay, just like every Shadowhunter, we have met so far he continues to be a horrible person. His first sin was slut-shaming his own sister, by basically saying Sebastian is too good for his sister. She only sleeps around with bad boys. Then, not only that, he is terribly racist by lumping in Downworlders and Criminals together. He then has the nerve to later whines about how Magnus is ignoring him.
He never thinks that the reason Magnus doesn’t want to be with him was because he treated him like a sidechick. Also, let’s not forget that Alec is being hypocritic because wasn’t just sleeping with a big bad Downworlder. So what right does he have to judge Isabelle? Honestly, he might not get as much speaking time as Jace, but he’s just as bad.
You guys remember that Jace was like, “Downworlders are good enough to sleep with, but not good enough to be in a relationship with” back in “City of Bones”? Yeah, how is that not the same thing?
