Aww, poor Clary! She totally wishes that her dream man wasn’t her brother because obviously, that means that she will never be with the love of her life. It’s very clear that after only a couple of weeks of knowing each other that Clary and Jace were simply meant to be!
Oh, Give me a break! They hardly knew each other, and they have zero romantic chemistry. I will also like to point out that Clary is barely 16 years old. It’s pretty unrealistic that Jace is truly the one person she supposed with the rest of her life with. I know that people will sometimes marry young, but Jace and Clary together really don’t have what it takes to be anything other than a high school infatuation. I will also like to point out that Clary has made it very clear by her very own selfish actions throughout the entire previous book. As I said in the previous post, Clary has jut admitted how she used him simply as a tool to awaken their mother from her coma. So it’s pretty clear that only real feelings she might have for Jace are just base lust.
And another thing: I can understand Clary being awkward around Jace since she basically made out with her own biological brother in the last book. However, Clary has made no real effort to get to know Jace as a sibling. She really hasn’t made an honest effort to put aside her romantic feelings for Jace, and truly reached out to him as one sibling to another. In the end, everything so far has been all about Clary’s needs and Clary’s wants and she never considers Jace’s wants or needs for even one moment.
