Maia is supposed to be in unbelievable amounts of pain, but she has time to be a racist bitch? Also, this is a complete 360 from the way she was treating Simon back at Hunter’s moon. I know pain can make people crazy sometimes and do things they otherwise wouldn’t do, but this just feels off to me. And one last thing, why can’t Maia smell that Simon was a vampire? So why did she just call him a Mundane?
*throws up hands* What kills me about this, is that this could have been easily corrected in a sentence or two. However, since Cassandra Clare apparently thinks she can’t do any wrong, this passage continues to make zero logical sense.
So that’s it for this week! Mel and I will be back on Monday for Chapter 12 of ‘City of Bones’. And stay tuned for later my usual end of chapter round up. 🙂
