Oh Jesus! Not this shit again! *groans* How many times, I have ranted and screamed about Jace (and by proxy Cassandra Clare) deliberating cutting out Alec out of actions scenes that he should logically be in. Unlike Clary and Simon who under trained newbies with no idea how to use their even basic abilities, Alec has actually trained alongside Jace all of his life.
Yet, Alec has sidelined again. You got to love all that representation and inclusion the queer community is getting right? Also, speaking of people unnecessarily sidelined, where the fuck is Isabelle? Isabelle should have been here, but she hasn’t been seen or mentioned since the Seelie Court.
I’m going to ask this again: Why is Isabelle even in this series? Seriously, she is supposed to be a just as badass as Jace and Alec, but we never see her unless she’s is being objectified or slut shamed. Again, just like the queer representation, you got to love the pro-woman feminist vibes this series has, right?
Back to Clary, and Simon. Both Clary and Simon are both impulsively jumping into a situation. Simon, especially being the newly turned vampire is a fucking wildcard. Yet, Jace argues for a quick second before giving in and lets them go with him? In the end, this is yet another stupid move on both Jace and Cassandra Clare’s part. But what else is new in this damn series?
