Wow, Jace seems to not have a lot of faith in Alec. Seriously, all Alec said: “The Law Is The Law”. To me, it felt like he was saying that Jace would have to face a trial, which I happen to agree with. Jace fucked up and now he has to go to court. Or he would have gone to court if the Inquisitor wasn’t trying to push her own agenda. To me, this wasn’t abandonment at all, and besides Alec is a teenager, he can’t legally do anything to save Jace.
You know what? I could have understood that Jace felt abandonment by just his family. However, Clare keeps telling us that Alec is more than Jace’s family. They are paratabi, a part of their souls are bonded to each other. So, Jace is saying is that a person who is bonded to a piece of his very soul would abandon him?
Again, despite what Clare says, the paratabai thing is worth absolutely nothing to not only her audience because Clare refuses to show its worth, but because no one in this series seems to give a fuck about it.
