I said it last week and I’m going to say it again, because it bares repeating. Jace Wayland does not have one drop of a strategic thinking in his tiny brain! Jace is going to a place where Clary has already been attacked once by a demon, it is logical to assume that Valentine might have already laid a trap for Clary at her apartment. Yet, Jace and Clary are going alone. Clary! A teenage girl who can’t fight, and who doesn’t even have the common sense to ask for a weapon. I’m yelling at Jace, but once again Jace is a child, the character I’m mostly pissed off with is yet again Hodge. Hodge is supposedly to be an intelligent adult, who is in charge of The Lightwood siblings and Jace while their parents are away. Yet, Hodge doesn’t even suspect that Valentine might of set a trap for Clary. I think it’s the lack of any common sense on the part of the adults in this book so far that really enrages me. You kind of expect teenagers to be reckless and impulsive, but the adults are shown to be just as bad.
