So we are once again we are at the end of another long excruciating long chapter, and it’s time for a brief time to push away the many, many things that was wrong with this chapter, and showcased the few positive things this chapter actually managed to archive. Let’s get started shall we?
1.Hodge Stopping Jace From Retrieving The Mortal Cup.
I have been screaming for chapters upon chapters how much Hodge fails as a mentor, and as the defacto leader of the insinuate. However, in this rare shining moment of logic Hodge told Jace right out that he will not knowingly send Jace into a dangerous situation, and stubbornly didn’t fold when Jace tried to intimidate him.
2. Brother Jeremiah
Yeah, I’m surprised about that too. I still say the whole city of bones thing is really unoriginal, but he was suitable creepy. It wasn’t just his and the rest of the Silent Brother’s physical appearances that made them creepy, it’s also the fact they have some telepathic abilities and can actually force themselves into your head. I also loved how Brother Jeremiah was %100 done with Jace and Clary’s bullshit by the end of the chapter.
I really don’t like Shadowhunters in general. They are xenophobic douchenozzles who instead of protecting humanity, they just sit on their asses and talk about how much superior they are. And I really haven’t warmed up to Isabelle or Alec at all (despite the fact that I adore both characters on the tv show), however in this chapter, expect for a few instances Isabelle was awesome. I loved her interaction with Jace, I loved her interaction with Simon, and I actually thought the whole failing at cooking thing was actually kind of funny. So yeah, Isabelle was awesome this chapter.
So that’s the three things I loved about this chapter? What did you love about this chapter? Let me know in the comments! I will see you guys Monday, when we press on to ‘Chapter 11: Magnus Bane.’
