So we are at the end of yet another chapter, and we are one chapter closer to the end of this dreadful book. Fortunately, it’s now time once again to put away all the negative things, and talk about some of the positive things about this chapter. So let’s get straight to it, shall we?
1 . Simon Saving The Day
As much as I rallied against the stupidity of Abaddon’s defeat, I really like that Cassandra Clare allowed Simon to have one shining moment. Simon was such a bad ass in that moment, and Cassandra Clare actually did some foreshadowing for this moment.
2 .Jace Showing That He Might Actually Care About Alec
I have already gone over ad nauseam how toxic Jace and Alec’s relationship is, but for one shining moment Jace seems to push Clary (literally) aside and truly showed that he actually gives a fuck about someone other than himself. It was really refreshing to see this new side of Jace.
3. Valentine Kidnapping Jace
Valentine kidnapping Jace was totally the highlight of this chapter. Why might you ask? Because that means that I don’t have to hear another word from Jace for at least another chapter! I actually get to have a break from his douchebaggery and I will take any breaks that I can at this point. Think about it! No more sarcastic comments, no more condencsing and racist jabs. *takes a deep breath* It’s like a breath of fresh air.
I’m taking two weeks off to rest and recuprate from my brutal posting schedule. But don’t worry, I will be back on Monday,October 10th with Chapter 20: In Rat’s Alley! See you guys then!
