We are thankfully once again at the end of yet another chapter. To be honest, it was slightly better than the previous ones, because at least we got to see some type of action. However, now we have to put all that negativity aside and talk about the good things that were in this chapter. So let’s begin, shall we?
1. Raphael Santiago
For all of Raphael’s faults (and believe there are many), he was really the best part of this chapter. I pretty loved how he basically just dominated over Jace and Clary. Yes, he was the antagonist of this chapter, but again there is very little difference between our protagonists and our antagonists, so it doesn’t really matter anyway.
2. The Vampires In General
Nothing about their mythology and/or their powers make sense. However, I really enjoyed the vampires in this chapter. Just like Raphael, they were diffidently the highlight of this chapter. It doesn’t help that I really love Vampires anyway. Other than Raphael, I really loved Lily. Although, I was really disappointed that I didn’t get to see Camille in this chapter.
3. The Werewolves
We only got a brief shot of them in this chapter, but I really did like their dramatic appearance. I really want to learn more about werewolves in this, but I have a feeling that their mythology will make just as much sense as the Vampires. I actually just really excited to see what happens in the next chapter.
So that’s my three things I loved about Chapter 14. I will see you guys back here on Monday for Chapter 15: High and Dry!
